Make your coast a better place to live - HEAL THE BAY

One of Technology Management Concepts’ Core Values is “to be active and responsible citizens of our communities.”

Through our employee volunteer program, TMC has a long history of supporting charities and projects in the Greater Los Angeles area. Today we are proud to share with you one of our recent initiatives, a collaboration with Heal the Bay, to help clean the beaches of Southern California.

On July 15th, TMC participated in a beach cleanup organized by Heal the Bay in Redondo Beach. Thanks to the hard work of Heal the Bay, many of TMC’s employees were able to take action to preserve our beautiful coast.

With many other volunteers, the TMC team dug deep into the sand, searching for plastics, cigarette butts, and all kinds of trash  in order to make an impact on  the local environment that we call home.

Heal the Bay is an environmental nonprofit dedicated to making the coastal waters of Greater Los Angeles safe, healthy and clean. To fulfill its mission, it uses science, education, community action, and advocacy.

TMC is proud to support such a great initiative in order to make our beaches a cleaner and safer place to spend time. It was exciting to be part of such a fun and important mission!

In 2017, TMC will continue to impact our community through corporate volunteerism. To achieve an even greater impact, our strategic volunteer efforts are aligned with our philanthropic priorities, including community development, education and basic human services.

About HEAL THE BAY

For over 30 years, Heal the Bay has been the Southland’s strongest advocate for the ocean. They are working toward a greener, bluer Los Angeles County for everyone. In addition to the Beach Cleaning Event that they organize, Heal the Bay is impacting our local environment with many other actions such as campaigning for tough legislation that keeps harmful plastic out of the Pacific, monitoring water quality at 450 California beaches each week, and securing funding for increased water recycling and reuse.

If you believe you have a role to play in protecting Santa Monica Bay – whether it’s donating money, volunteering time, speaking up, or educating others, feel free to Take Action.
