Microsoft Dynamics 365 Information

Dynamics 365 will be available to customers in the U.S. and Canada coming in October of 2016 as announced by Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella at Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Conference in Toronto this year in July. Five years after debuting Office 365, Microsoft has announced Dynamics 365, the combination of its sales and resource planning software in one suite. The move is the latest in a series of announcements made to revitalize Microsoft’s enterprise and cloud offerings since Nadella took over as chief executive in February 2014.

Technology Management Concepts is 1 of 28 Microsoft Dynamics partners in the Early Adopter program for Microsoft Dynamics 365, allowing its customers to have the first shot at getting access to the new software. Dynamics 365 is unique from all other ERP products because it empowers users to utilize the Microsoft stack and work inside of Microsoft Outlook while handling financials, sales, purchasing, CRM and other related tasks. Microsoft and TMC are proud to bring the first end-to-end cloud business solution that ties in ERP, CRM and Office 365. This will redefine business processes and eliminate historical boundaries between CRM and ERP.

Some of the features in Dynamics 365 include:

  • Cloud First – Dynamics 365 is only offered as a SaaS product on the Microsoft Azure cloud
  • Mobile First – Built for a mobile workforce for great user experience on any device or web browser
  • Power BI & Cortana Intelligence – Natively embedded to give customers predictive insights, advice and steps utilizing workflows
  • Access to IoT data – will reside inside Dynamics 365 which enables preemptive actions for business functions like Field Service
  • AppSource – the Microsoft marketplace to find SaaS apps that will be able to adapt & innovate in real time with a common data model

To sum up what Microsoft Dynamics 365 embodies, Satya Nadella Microsoft’s CEO said in his official announcement for Dynamics 365, “Last year, I made the decision to bring our Dynamics business into the mainstream engineering, marketing and sales teams. Last Thursday, we took a major step forward with the introduction of Microsoft Dynamics 365, to empower business users with built-in insights and intelligence within the business applications they’re working in – apps like field service, sales, finance, operations.

This has been a dream of the industry, but also for me personally since 2000 when Microsoft acquired Great Plains. When I led that group, we dreamt of doing things for our customers and partners that are now only possible because of widespread adoption of the cloud, proliferation of data, devices and sensors, and agile development environments.”
